Flights to Hawaii, especially from the east coast can cost a pretty penny if paying cash. We are going to show you how to book a flight from anywhere in the US to Hawaii for just 10,000 miles ($100 value) in economy, or 15,000 miles ($150) value in business class! The miles you can use for this offer are Turkish Airline Miles & Smiles, and you would be using Turkish miles to book a United airlines flight.
2 Important Things To Note
- You can transfer points to Turkish at a 1:1 ratio only from: Bilt Rewards, Capitol One or Citi ThankYou Rewards.
- Turkish can only book United flights when United releases Saver Award space for its partners, which isn’t always available. But doing research as of this moment it looks like there are plenty of dates available.
How To Find Award Flights
The first thing to do is sign up for a Miles & Smiles membership here.
Once you are signed up, you can start searching for flights! Click on this link to search for Award flights, and make sure to search under the tab “Star Award Ticket” as pictured below.
Search for your flight. Always search for one way tickets when booking award flights. Today we will give you an example of a flight from Newark NJ (EWR) to Honolulu (HNL) on November 25th, 2024. Once you hit the search button the available flights should come up. As you can see below, flights in economy are just 10,000 miles each way, equivalent to approx. $100!
Try booking that same flight using cash and you would have to pay $494!
Using Miles especially from the east coast is an amazing way so save big money on your flight to Hawaii.
Obviously business class saver award is much harder to find, but when available is only 15,000 miles, a $150 value!
Once you found your desired flight, transfer the miles over from either Bilt Rewards, Capitol One or Citi ThankYou Rewards and book your flight!
